Camp Stove Cuisine: Preparing Delicious Food on the Trail

Workshop Host: 2026

Cycling has always been my gateway to freedom and discovery. Driven by a love for adventure and a deep connection to the outdoors, I’m an all-season camper known at race venues for my signature hot tent setup and wood-burning stove.

Cycling has always been my gateway to freedom and discovery. Driven by a love for adventure and a deep connection to the outdoors, I’m an all-season camper known at race venues for my signature hot tent setup and wood-burning stove. Over the past five years, I’ve embraced the spirit of bikepacking, favouring scenic rail trails and gravel roads, always seeking routes that balance challenge with enjoyment.

Beyond bikepacking, I’m passionate about gravel racing, mountain biking, and fat biking. You’ll often find me at events like the Wendigo Fatbike Ultra, the 24 Hour Summer Solstice MTB race (fatbike solo), and 8 Hours of Hurtin’ in Haliburton. I also love experimenting with trail foods and finding creative ways to make delicious meals in the backcountry. My long-term goal is to complete the Great Northern Bikepacking Route, continuing my journey of exploration and adventure.

Fun Facts

  1. I love knitting and needle felting, and bring small projects on bikepacking trips to unwind at camp
  2. I am growing my own garlic in the hopes of winning a ribbon at the Warkworth Fall Fair
  3. I have traded my tent for a groundsheet and tarp, and my sleeping bag for a wool blanket in an experiment to see how I can simplify my setup by blending bikepacking with more traditional bushcraft.
