We're going to kick off the weekend with the documentary Zone Libre about a bikepacking trip through 4 ZECs between Charlevoix and Saguenay, Quebec. Following a virtual Q&A with Arnaud Cote Boisvert, we'll head outside to enjoy some campfire stories, hosted by Bivo. This will be their first live Quench'd Campfire Stories and we are stoked to have them taking the lead on this.

Saturday May 24

Day two of the summit will allow you to meet fellow bikepackers through group rides, ice breaker activities and engaging presentations.

For those that arrived early in the morning, event registration will begin at 6:30am.

Start your day on the bike, choosing between a picturesque gravel ride along the Gatineau River or a jaunt into the Gatineau Park, mixing things up with doubletrack and singletrack.

Sunday, May 25

Day three of the summit will help solidify new friendships through more group rides, presentations and prizes from the sponsors.

Grand Depart: Canadian Shield Bikepacking Route

In order to try something new, for 2025, we will hold the Grand Depart for the Canadian Shield Bikepacking Route immediately after the conclusion of the Bikepacking Summit. We think this will be a great way to start off the bikepacking season, providing multiple distances for people to choose from, depending on their available time.

Presentation #5: Bikepacking Japan

In the fall of 2023, Carl embarked on a bucket-list trip, staring in Hokkaido in the North of Japan and finishing his bikepacking adventure in Kyushu in the South of Japan. Embark with him on this journey in the land of the rising sun.

Presentation #4: Uni-Packing

Jakob Flanberry

Jakob has not just been riding unicycles for the past 22 years, but was also the Unicycle Cyclocross World Champion in 2014. In the time since, he has started to use his unicycle to explore further, by setting it up for bikepacking, not so differently than many of us set up our bikes for two-wheeled travel. In this presentation, Jakob will share his passion and talk about his adventures on 'one' wheel.

In the spirit of growing the bikepacking community and to help those newer to the sport to get the necessary kit to have the best adventure possible, we will set up some tables where participants can buy and sell used bikepacking gear. We'll also be having our photographer shooting photos of participants and their bikes.

This session provides an opportunity to for participants to join a group to engage in a deeper, more focused discussion to discuss various topics that affect people differently. These are open sessions where the guiding questions are just a framework, but during which other topics may arise that change the course of the discussion.
